I need to find a way to keep the lead and bass from fighting each other for the limelight, but it’s gonna take some work.
That resonance on the bass is just too wonderful to extinguish completely.

Kinda reminded me of a early plastic city joint,
very mello, kinda slow groover.
I don’t really see the conflict in the bass/drums,
the mix is really pretty balanced.
As playable, I’d say super-late floor or lounge.
It does drag a bit. I’d like to hear another element
somewhere or more utilization of the current bassline
but more out front or even with more variations
of it appearing through the movements of the track.
( thinking svek-esque manipulation of the bass )
Overall, I’d say production smooth but lacks a real
spark for the floor that would put it over.
Unless you could come up with a perfect vocal
to put it firmly in the cool kid lounge arena.
Then it would be the tits.

I’d be OK if this one just hung out in the lounge. You’re right though I do need to do some more bassline variation
