For this one I just re-used the drums from Time Monger but the two songs could hardly be more different.

this, is good, your kick drums could be a little more in the front though

okay, at this point I have not heard time monger, this hints at abstract panhandle brett johnson stuff, but is really clean. I have several labels that approach it, I could rock the mix but would add like deeper organs and vocals. I like it! I think of ebe or adny on plastic city… right?!

It is definitely too clean. I’m gonna go throw some distortion at it right now.

Strange – not quite there
nice bell sound in the intro.
main keyboard part sounds like it could use more compression?
by 1 minute I’m bored.
New sound is cool.. like an elephant.
instead of dancing it makes me want to study ants.

Headache Heaven
Starts out promising with great beat, fun bass and interesting sound snippets. What I don’t know yet, is that I will be listening to this for over 7 minutes. Worse, the chaotic synthetic saxophone sound that’s being dropped in later and which makes this a headache heaven.
After 3 minutes I could not take this anymore and was forced to fast forward just to see if more is coming. But no….
Arrangement: Boring, nothing happens
Sequencing: Clean it up, use more variety, change up the drums
Not sure who you sound like. Haven’t heard this before.
Good luck!

feels to wacky
the high pitch riff simply does not fit with the song. song is way too simple otherwise. needs a bit more work.

hmm…
synth sounds are a bit dated…not keen on the horn-synth at all…its a bit cheap, ice ideas in theory, some interesting filtering and such but the sounds are all a bit dated, try it with some more modern VSTs

Strange sequences
Nice synths and chords aren’t bad at all, but repetitive… Rythm is a little weak, but mood is ok.

old school
this track sounds ok..
prehaps the software your using is a little dated,
id say you have made this track in fruty loops. or mabe reason.
thats cool..
i can only suggest get a copy of alberton live.
i think your creative out put would benefit from using alberton.

I’ve only ever used Ableton. Last thing before that was hard ware with Dr. T’s Music Sequencer on the Commodore 64.

Quite so, this needs to be edited down and given more breaks. I just have so much fun playing it, I get carried away.

Psycho electro trumpets
Phat bass and light ambient sounds make for a promising introduction. I liked the slightly random high trumpety sound. That must have taken a while to sequence! The sections of the song are well-defined. Personally I would have liked to hear a bit more variation of the bass during the song. For some reason it reminded me of an old Tears for Fears b-side. The rhythm is steady and could be varied for added interest.

Bump, Bump, Bump, Bump
The bass and drum sounds great…however the SFX and the lead synth left me hanging…

Thanks I can dig. I can send you a stripped down version if you wanna add your own noises to the bass & drums.

Not bad
I am never a fan of the 30 second drum and bass intro’s that are all too common with electronic music. When I hear that, it prepairs me for a listening experience that most likely will be less than memerable. Unfortunatly, this song did just that. While it was not bad, it just did not have that “wow” factor. It has potential, and with work and polish, concentrating on going beyond the simple drum, bass, lead and pad formula, this could be a really good song. My advise is to take risks, trust the ability of your listeners to hear and appreciate more than one or two sounds at a time. Work on sonic diversity and more layering.

horn action
1-1 – Arrangement- the arangement is pretty meditative kind of a progressive tune that progresses
2 – Rhythm-is pretty varied yet repetitive in a good way
3 – Sequencing- is tight

free electro jazz!
yes, fortunately this is not a dance track, it grooves too moch, right? but is it meant to be time thief, then? why doesn´t it explode at, say, 4:30, nah, better 3:30, you know. this hampering in the backs gets more on the reviewers nerve than that claps and early-heaven17-synthnoising (is it?), so an outbreak – now i´m at 4:50 – would be fabulous. recommended as a live support for !!!, if possible.

experimental
theres a lot going on here and to be honest its a little bit too much for me.it sounds a little bit experimental, which although its great to try new things, doesnt do it for me.

mysterious mood
that melody line that started around 1.02 was in a totally different key compared to the bassline. It was a very odd mismatch.
Arrangement – the idea is there, but it doesnt make too much sense musically.
Rhythm was steady. Sequencing was probably advanced level, but the grasp of music theory is novice.

You really nailed it by pointing out the key mismatch.
I’m gonna split this song into two pieces.
